Collection: Mario Nigro

Mario Nigro (1917–1992) was a leading figure in post-war Italian abstraction. With a background in science, he developed a precise and experimental visual language based on grids, structures, and rhythmic color progressions. During the 1950s and 1960s, he gained significant international recognition, exhibiting at major events such as the Venice Biennale (1956, 1958, 1964) and Documenta in Kassel (1964).

Today, Mario Nigro’s works are held in the collections of major museums and foundations worldwide, underscoring both his historical importance and his enduring relevance for collectors.
